<p>I missed a call from myself today.</p><p>I knew whatever she had to say was important.</p><p>Eagerly,I took my phone and tried calling her back but she didn't respond.</p><p>I tried again but silence was the response.</p><p>Seemed she went into her shell like a snail.</p><p>Worry clouded my emotions.</p><p>I paced around the room restless and nervous.</p><p>I dialled her number over and over again.</p><p>On the fifth trial,she picked up the phone and relief swept me.</p><p>"Hello !''I called out.</p><p><br/></p><p>Silence...</p><p><br/></p><p>In a second,She cut the call.</p><p>I guessed she was unready for the conversation.</p><p>Well,I knew it was necessary to persist and get her to speak </p><p>The thought of going to knock on her door had me putting on my coat ,gloves and socks for I knew it was cold and dark our there on the street.</p><p>Hand in pocket,I turned to go, startled by what I saw.</p><p>She sat right there all the time waiting for me to turn to her and listen.</p><p>She didn't need calls because she wasn't far.</p><p>She was in the room </p><p>All I needed to do was to look within.</p><p>She was not out there on the cold,busy streets.</p><p>She was in ready to make peace with me.</p><p>I had been trying to reach out to myself like I was away from me,till I realised I needed to look within and see myself as I am,present and whole.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes,we just need to look within us to find peace.</p><p>Peace is older than conflict and we get it from within us.</p><p>Close your doors and don't let the chaos get into you.</p><p>Be your safe space.</p><p>Be so rooted in yourself that no one's absence or presence can distract or play with your mind.</p>
