LOVE IS NOT JUST A WORD

Hmmm....

Love.....

4 words, but it opens up a whole world entirely.

Everyone, anyone can say "I LOVE YOU". But. Very few can show up at 2am listening without fixing , listening without judging, listening without complaining, remembering small details. And very few can understand or want to understand. Some don't need to understand, they just know wat to say or do.

Love = sacrifice;not grand gestures.

The quiet stuff.

Giving up the last piece of chicken.

Holding someone's hand through chemo.

Being available even when not really needed.

The mistake we all make is : Word is a noun, love is what you do when nobody's clapping. Love is showing up , listening, supporting silently. You don't show love to get a reward, NO , you show love because it's meant to be natural, you show love because it's meant to be a beautiful thing, YES ,it's never enough, nor perfect.

It's meant to be defined in many ways.

Time, comfort, pride, forgiveness; it costs you nothing.

It probably just a word.

"Be Intentional with your words/actions".

Every little thing has it's consequence; either good or bad. Nothing comes natural;it has its source or reason.

"I LOVE YOU" is three words,8 letters;you can type in 2 seconds, easy to type, easy to pen down, easy to say like it's nothing. But HARD to live.

Words are cheap.

Promises are free.

But love has a price tag.

Love shows up at my door in sad, quiet evenings,In my hospital room,in traffic jams,in silence when words fail.

There is huge difference between saying it and proving it.

"So don't just say it. Be it"; because love is not just a word you know. It's a decision, you make everyday. You can whisper it in the dark and mean nothing at all.

Because love is not just a word.

It's a dry jacket.

Dorcas and her dad fought every morning.

He nagged about her clothes. She rolled her eyes at his lectures.

Words passed through between them like rain;loud, cold and quickly forgotten.

Then one evening,the sky opened.

She was stranded after lectures.

No money. No umbrella. Phone dead.

She was bracing herself for the walk home , shoulders hunched against the rain, when a car stopped.

Her Dad

He didn't say "l love you"

He didn't give a speech

He simply just said "get in"_ and handed her his jacket.

He drove home soaked. She sat beside him dry.

That night Dorcas understood.

Love doesn't live in your mouth. It lives in your hands, your time, your patience.

Love isn't just a word we use without value.

It lives in wet shirts.

In plastic hospital chairs.

In "get in" .

When you expected "I told you so" .

Anyone can spell L-O-V-E.

Few meant it.

Few can live it when it's inconvenient.

Few is intentional with that word LOVE.

"If love was just a word , dictionaries would be enough. But hearts need proof".

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
