NIGERIA, MY COUNTRY!!!

Hmm... Nigeria, an African country, a place filled with Black people from different tribes, cultures, and religions, with different foods too.

A place where wealthy Hausas are referred to as "Alhaji," while the less privileged are referred to as "Mallam."

A place where jokes live. As much as we face a lot in this country, we never forget to make jokes that would crack you up. We Nigerians can turn anything into a joke. I mean, anything into a joke.

A place filled with people who wear smiling faces to cover up their hardships. We never give up!!!

What amazes me most about Nigerians is our spirit of adaptability. We adjust to anything, and we adjust quickly. I don't know if I should term this an advantage or a disadvantage. One characteristic of Nigerians that never ceases to amaze me is how easily we adapt. We are quick to move on.

When a system changes and we're uncomfortable, we complain. But if nothing changes, we don't just wait. We find a way to survive, as long as it doesn't cost us our lives.

Take power, for example. There was a time when part of Nigeria had no electricity for a whole month. Of course, we complained. But soon after, we adapted. People who bathed once a day started bathing twice to beat the heat.

That, to me, is the greatest trait of Nigerians: ADAPTABILITY!!!
