The Boy Nobody Told
<p>Nobody told him it was okay to cry.</p><p>So he did not. </p><p>Not after his father left. Not when hunger arrived and stayed. Not when the world handed him a mask at the age of seven and whispered, "Be strong, boys don't cry." So he wore it. For several years. For many decades. Until silence became his language, pain eventually became his personality.</p><p>We teach girls that they are capable of achieving anything. We teach boys that they must be everything.</p><p>Strong. Spiritual. Provider. Protector. Never got broken. Never lost. Never soft. Never a human.</p><p>And then, we ask why boys are struggling in silence. Why are they dropping out of school to feed families that have forgotten them? Why are they being handed guns? Because no one handed them hope first. Why do they grow into men who don't know how to ask for help? Because nobody ever told them they could.</p><p><br/></p><p>Right now, somewhere on this continent:</p><p>→ A boy is quitting school to become the man nobody prepared him to be.</p><p>→ A boy is being recruited into violence because purpose never came first.</p><p>→ A boy is sitting in a crowded room, completely alone.</p><p>→ A boy is dying inside a smile.</p><p>This is not just a boys' issue.</p><p>This is a human issue.</p><p><img alt="" src="/media/inline_insight_image/ChatGPT_Image_May_16_2026_03_54_55_PM.png"/></p><p>Today is International Day of the Boy Children. No, this is not a day for blue hearts and forgetfulness.</p><p>The boy we neglect today will be the man the world fears tomorrow.</p><p>But the boy we invest in today? He becomes the father who stays. The leader who listens. The man who finally knows that strength and softness are never opposites.</p><p>So today, find a boy. Look him in the eye. And tell him what nobody told you:</p><p>"You have the right to feel. "You are free to fail. You are free to be a human. And just the way you are, you are sufficient." Invest in boys today or manage broken men tomorrow.</p><p>The choice has always been ours. 🌍</p>
