The Broken Seed
<p>Glorious days have come and gone.</p><p>Months we spent while having fun. </p><p>For a second there, I let myself get lost</p><p>Filled with desire, </p><p>Forgetting that burning fire.</p><p><br/></p><p>I let myself be passion-swept!</p><p>Indulging in dangerous stunts.</p><p>Neglecting my mind's response!</p><p>Heart-drunk, I silenced reason's careful voice, </p><p>Blinded by love's intoxicating call.</p><p><br/></p><p>Fervent fool, I danced along,</p><p>To the drumbeats of my restless pulse.</p><p>I followed her lead,</p><p>Believing she was the one,</p><p>And I shall heed.</p><p><br/></p><p>My mind remembers what she warned.</p><p>For she spoke, and I ignored.</p><p>My heart still echoes her desires, </p><p>Shielding herself from the troubles I acquired.</p><p>She wants no part in the life I have wired.</p><p><br/></p><p>But with all this, </p><p>Who is the one who suffers?</p><p>Ofcourse I, </p><p>Who danced foolishly to the beat </p><p>And deceit of the "happily ever after" dream.</p><p><br/></p><p>I now wallow in regret, </p><p>For I should have calmed my heart</p><p>And broken the sticks sooner.</p><p>All is late, however</p><p>As I have now become a loveless seed who destroys her lover.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>… TomiTheWordPecker 📝 🐦⬛.</p>
