The Hustle or the Tussle: When Survival Redefines Morality

We often hear the loud, public declarations: DON’T DO YAHOO!!, DON’T STEAL, DON’T DO RITUAL, A GOOD NAME IS FAR BETTER THAN RICHES. But these lectures are almost always spoken from a safe distance, without justifying criminal actions, we have do face a bitter truth: some people simply have no resources to pull from anywhere, and may we not forget that “A hungry man listens only to his stomach“.

We scrutinize and shout openly that it is a crime, but instead of getting better, it’s far worse than yesterday, traditional discipline doesn’t dictate to someone who has seen both parents struggle for meagre pays or for nothing at all. In this case, the society builds a ruthless machine that’s ready to migrate himself and his family from that point.

As they say “To make mama proud is the goal“, the answer is YES, we all know it’s bad, but if there’s no one coming to help you, an individual has no other choice but to help him/herself. When morality is faced with desperate survival, the individual is met with a choice of hustle or tussle.

When crime feels like the only relief or viable way out of poverty and hunger, the system already failed in doing its job, if viable solutions are not being put in place, the endless cycle of fraud, armed robbery and crime as a whole, starts all over. If there are no other accessible solutions, they only move in one path, no matter the risk.

This matter is of crucial importance to the masses, but that’s a conversation the society isn’t ready for. What’s next, when the generation to take over, is in shambles, and what’s left when the executives are far behind schedule.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
