THE JOURNEY OF MY LIFE

CHAPTER TWO

THE JOURNEY OF A NEW BEGINNING

After the death of my mother, my life took a different direction. The home that once felt like a place of love and togetherness suddenly became a memory. My siblings went their separate ways, and I was left with a new reality that I never imagined at such a young age.

My uncle took me to Lagos, a city I had only heard about but never truly understood. Leaving Akure was painful because it meant leaving behind the little I knew my mother's memories, my childhood, and the environment where I grew up. I was filled with fear, questions, and uncertainty about what the future held for me.

Lagos was a completely different world. The busy streets, the number of people, and the struggle to survive opened my eyes to a new chapter of life. I had lost the two people who should have guided and protected me, but I knew I had to keep moving forward. The pain of losing my parents became a strength that pushed me to face whatever challenges came my way.

Living with my uncle was not the same as living with my mother. I had to learn how to adapt, respect new rules, and take responsibility for myself. The little girl who once depended on her mother had to become strong and independent. I carried the lessons my mother taught me kindness, faith, hard work, and love wherever I went.

As days turned into months and months into years, I began to understand that life was not always about what we lost but also about what we could build from the pieces left behind. The struggles I faced in my early years shaped my character and taught me the value of perseverance.

I remembered my mother's devotion to God and her determination to provide for us despite her challenges. Her life became an example I wanted to follow. Whenever things became difficult, I remembered her strength and used it as motivation to continue.

My journey in Lagos was the beginning of discovering myself. I did not know what the future held, but deep inside me was a hope that my story would not end with pain and hardship. I believed that every challenge I faced was preparing me for something greater.

The little girl who lost everything was slowly learning that she still had something valuable the courage to survive, the faith to believe, and the strength to create a better future.

This was only the beginning of my journey.
