The Tree That Never Tasted Its Fruit
<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Imagine spending your entire life</p><p>making something beautiful...</p><p><br/></p><p>and never getting to enjoy it.</p><p><br/></p><p>That's every tree.</p><p><br/></p><p>The mango tree</p><p>has never tasted a mango.</p><p><br/></p><p>The orange tree</p><p>has never sucked an orange.</p><p><br/></p><p>The cashew tree</p><p>has never cracked a single nut.</p><p><br/></p><p>Even the cocoa tree</p><p>has never known</p><p>what chocolate tastes like.</p><p><br/></p><p>Isn't that ironic?</p><p><br/></p><p>They spend decades</p><p>stretching towards the sun,</p><p>fighting storms,</p><p>burying roots into stubborn soil,</p><p>only to watch strangers</p><p>pluck the reward.</p><p><br/></p><p>No receipts.</p><p><br/></p><p>No applause.</p><p><br/></p><p>No "thank you."</p><p><br/></p><p>Just another season</p><p>of giving.</p><p><br/></p><p>Meanwhile,</p><p>human beings</p><p>want to be the seed,</p><p>the rain,</p><p>the farmer,</p><p>the fruit,</p><p>and the customer.</p><p><br/></p><p>We don't just want to grow.</p><p><br/></p><p>We want to own</p><p>everything growth produces.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe that's why</p><p>we're always exhausted.</p><p><br/></p><p>The forest never competes.</p><p><br/></p><p>The bamboo</p><p>doesn't envy the palm.</p><p><br/></p><p>The hibiscus</p><p>doesn't argue with the rose.</p><p><br/></p><p>Even weeds</p><p>know where they belong.</p><p><br/></p><p>Yet the only creature</p><p>with the biggest brain</p><p>is the one</p><p>constantly comparing gardens.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps</p><p>nature has been laughing at us</p><p>this whole time.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because the tree</p><p>understands a truth</p><p>many people never will:</p><p><br/></p><p>You don't become valuable</p><p>because of what you keep.</p><p><br/></p><p>You become unforgettable</p><p>because of what you leave behind.</p><p><br/></p><p>The greatest trees</p><p>never tasted their own fruit.</p><p><br/></p><p>Yet generations</p><p>remember their shade.</p><p><br/></p><h3><strong>TwoCents</strong>:</h3><p>Maybe the greatest harvest in life isn't eating every fruit you grow...</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe it's becoming the shade that someone else will one day call home.</p>
