What if…?

What if tomorrow doesn’t come? What if I don’t get to see the future I dreamed of?

What if it never reached my turn?

Nooooooooo…not like that.

Try this instead!

What if I really get to become everything I dreamed of?

What if I really get to reach the pinnacle of my dreams?

What if life gets better?

In the world, exists a lot of ‘what if’s’ questions hanging around people’s minds every single second and it sought of made up how we go about life.

We keep hoping, trying, and moving with the ‘what if’ that sits right with us.

We hold on to the thread of hope and rely on it for survival but what is hope without the effort?

In a country like ours, children that once believed education could be the answer, to their dreams of having uncountable millions, are now faced with the reality of watching graduate being taught how to make liquid soap, shoe making and lot more during NYSC.

Or you still don’t get it when the First Lady is even moving the motion to empowering them to sell akara or roasted corn by the road side.

Don’t start getting emotional because it is not a pity party for mobbing around like a wounded cub. We’ve done enough of that already and where did it get us?

Nowhere! Exactly my point.

We can’t keep being bystanders in our own lives, we can’t keep watching helplessly with the victim mentality waiting and hoping for a savior to come, Jesus already came and the second coming is not to save Nigeria.

Jokes apart, no one is coming to save us and it won’t get better because we hope so. The richer will continue to get richer while the poor get poorer. The governments are there to maintain that status quo not the other way round.

So instead of hoping;

What if we start thinking of real solutions to our own problems instead of passing the responsibility to those who only cares for their portion of the cake?

What if you become the richer, would you still care for the poorer or it will become less of your concern?

What if you really lock in and push yourself to become best at what you’re doing?

What if you start thinking like the oppressor and not the oppressed?

Let’s leave sentiment aside, the world we all want is at the cost of what you are willing to do not just think and hope for.

The first step there is to be a better person!

What if you are the hope we’ve been waiting for?
