<p>In case you haven't noticed, you are growing old, and just like your parents, you now have stories to tell.</p><p><br/></p><p>In the future, you will tell your child or that young nephew or niece of yours about 2020, a year a virus caused global upheaval, shuting down schools and emptying the world's busiest streets of people and they- these young ones- will stare at you with utmost disbelief. </p><p><br/></p><p>You will look back to this very year- 2020, and remember how nose masks became part of human clothing, how the words 'quarantine' and 'isolation' flew back and forth. </p><p><br/></p><p>You will pass by a school and hear students singing 'Nigeria We Hail thee' in unison, and then you will tell it to ears that care to listen that this was not the anthem you sang in your own days. </p><p><br/></p><p>And when your children sit to discuss the happenings of the day in school, talking about the mischief of a classmate or the high-handedness of a teacher, you will reminisce and try to recall the names of your own class pals (By this time, you would have forgotten the surnames of some). The image of that Teacher feared by everyone in your school days will resurface from that pocket of the past you have tucked it into, but instead of being filled with dread, you will laugh, for you are no longer that naive teen afraid of whips but an adult, a personae that dispels fear lodging in the heart of the young.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p> You will tell your neighbour's child of a time a jumbo loaf of bread went for Two hundred Naira, and a bag of rice was sold for a paltry sum of Eight Thousand Naira; of a time Naira notes went into hiding, and WAEC exams weren't Computer Based. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>And of course, this child will assume the stead of Thomas, doubting if there was a time all you say, was. </p><p><br/></p><p>For now, the clock is ticking, and each tick brings along a story- A story you have to tell.</p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

We pick the top 3.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
