YOU ARE GOLDMINE...

Sometimes, you already know.

You can sit down with someone for hours and somehow never run out of things to say. You have opinions. Stories. Ideas. You can explain things in a way people understand.

But you're there looking for what skill to learn next.

You know you love teaching.

You naturally find yourself explaining things to people. Someone asks you a question and somehow, you end up teaching them three other things they didn't even ask about.

But you're busy asking yourself,

“What can I learn that will make me valuable?”

You know you love creating.

You enjoy putting things together. Organising things. Planning. Making things happen.

You can literally look at a messy situation and start thinking about how to arrange everything.

Yet you're somewhere searching for a completely different career path because you haven't considered that the thing you naturally enjoy doing could actually become something.

You know you love music.

You know you love cooking.

You know you love fashion.

You know you love writing.

You know you love talking.

You know you love organising.

You know you love creating.

You know.

But you keep ignoring what you know.

And I think that's one of the biggest mistakes people make.

We spend so much time searching for something outside ourselves that we forget to examine what is already inside us.

There is something about you that comes naturally.

Something you keep returning to.

Something you can spend hours doing without being forced.

Something people already come to you for.

Something you do so often that you've stopped seeing it as valuable.

Pay attention to it.

Give yourself the time to explore it.

Analyse it.

Capitalise on it.

Build around it.

Scale it.

Because one thing can become many things.

Take writing, for example.

You can start as a writer.

Then you discover the kind of writing you enjoy.

You can become a copywriter.

A storyteller.

A content writer.

A scriptwriter.

You can write books.

You can teach writing.

You can build a personal brand around writing.

You can create content.

You can earn from it.

You can learn through it.

You can position yourself through it.

One thing.

Many possibilities.

That's the part people sometimes miss.

You don't always need ten different things.

Sometimes you need to take one thing seriously enough to discover everything it can become.

And yes, learn new skills.

Be curious.

Explore.

Try things.

But don't abandon the thing that has been sitting inside you because you're too busy looking for something shiny outside.

Give yourself time.

Give yourself a grace period.

Gold doesn't become gold in one second.

It goes through fire.

It goes through pressure.

It takes a process.

You are in that process too.

You are learning.

Building.

Failing.

Trying again.

Figuring yourself out.

And because the result isn't visible yet, you start thinking nothing is happening.

Something is happening.

You're being refined.

This is also why I believe in having an accountability partner.

Someone who can look at you and say,

“You said you wanted to do this. Have you done it?”

“You said you wanted to start. Why haven't you started?”

“You said this mattered to you. Are you still serious about it?”

You need someone who can compel you back to the person you said you wanted to become.

You might be sitting on a gold mine and still be outside looking for gold.

Look inward.

There is something there.

Give it time.

Give it work.

Give it patience.

Give it consistency.

Then watch what that one thing can become.

You are a gold mine.

Start digging.
