<p><br/></p><p>Emmanuel</p><p><br/></p><p>Pookie, Baby, Asa 🤭</p><p><br/></p><p>How are you feeling today?</p><p><br/></p><p>I think I like you!</p><p><br/></p><p>You see, “like” would be an understatement.</p><p><br/></p><p>*I LOVE YOU.*</p><p><br/></p><p>*Me*</p><p><br/></p><p>I wake up.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was just a dream.</p><p><br/></p><p>But why?</p><p><br/></p><p>Why is he on my mind, occupying a space in my heart for free?</p><p><br/></p><p>I wake up in the morning, and he is literally the first person on my mind.</p><p><br/></p><p>I go to sleep, and God damn it, he is still there.</p><p><br/></p><p>I'm at work, and I can't stop thinking about him.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's like roses…</p><p><br/></p><p>I don't know why it feels so real with him. He makes me happy in ways I cannot explain. Every single time his text pops up on my phone, I get ridiculously excited.</p><p><br/></p><p>He makes my day.</p><p><br/></p><p>But how do I unlove him?</p><p><br/></p><p>He'll never get me.</p><p><br/></p><p>He'll never understand.</p><p><br/></p><p>We're literally two worlds apart, and yet I cannot explain how opposites attract.</p><p><br/></p><p>One evening, she came visiting.</p><p><br/></p><p>I opened the door and found her standing there, staring at me with that familiar look.</p><p><br/></p><p>Her eyes moved from my face to the cigarette between my fingers.</p><p><br/></p><p>*“You're smoking again?”*</p><p><br/></p><p>I smiled.</p><p><br/></p><p>*“I'm trying to figure out how to unlove you.”*</p><p><br/></p><p>She laughed.</p><p><br/></p><p>*“And smoking is part of the solution?”*</p><p><br/></p><p>*“I'm still conducting research.”*</p><p><br/></p><p>She shook her head, walked past me and settled into the chair.</p><p><br/></p><p>*“You know you can't unlove me, right?”*</p><p><br/></p><p>I looked at her.</p><p><br/></p><p>For a moment, neither of us said anything.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe she was joking.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe I was hoping she wasn't.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then she smiled.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somehow, that smile became another reason I knew I was in trouble.</p><p><br/></p><p>How do I unlove him?</p><p><br/></p><p>It's morning,</p><p><br/></p><p>and all I want to hear is his voice whispering sweet nothings in my ear.</p><p><br/></p><p>I want to talk to him for hours after a long day at work,</p><p><br/></p><p>because somehow, he brings me calm.</p><p><br/></p><p>*How do I unlove him?*</p><p><br/></p><p>He has been there through the rain and the sunshine.</p><p><br/></p><p>He gave me an umbrella to cover me from the rain and shield me from the piercing sunlight.</p><p><br/></p><p>Oh…</p><p><br/></p><p>*How do I unlove him?*</p><p><br/></p><p>Can opposites attract?</p><p><br/></p><p>I'm not sure.</p><p><br/></p><p>But can I unlove him?</p><p><br/></p><p>*I'm even less sure.*</p><p><br/></p>
