Death, Graveyard
<p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Yes... </span><br/></p><p>the graveyard. </p><p>The breeze. </p><p>The air of the cemetery. </p><p><br/></p><p>It sounds so terrifying. </p><p>It leaves goosebumps </p><p>on every soul who dares to visit.</p><p><br/></p><p>It’s the fear,</p><p>the fear of not wanting to die. </p><p>The soil.. </p><p>craving. </p><p>Yawning. </p><p>Waiting for the body </p><p>to return </p><p>to its rightful place.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because it is written. </p><p>It is documented. </p><p>Mankind was formed from soil. </p><p>Or let me say it plain: </p><p>from dust. </p><p><br/></p><p>That is the evidence. </p><p>That every living being </p><p>must return </p><p>to where they came from.</p><p><br/></p><p>And it is sure. </p><p>It is certain. </p><p>Death is inevitable. </p><p><br/></p><p>No matter how long you outlive,</p><p>the truth remains,</p><p>we are given </p><p>only a short time </p><p>to live on this Earth. </p><p><br/></p><p>It doesn’t matter </p><p>if your years are many, </p><p>or if your years are few.</p><p><br/></p><p>What matters,</p><p>is your impact. </p><p>What you built. </p><p>Who you loved. </p><p>What you left behind </p><p>before death called your name.</p><p><br/></p><p>_Thought provoking questions..._</p><p><br/></p><p>But here’s the deepest one, </p><p>Beneath it all, we say, </p><p>Once someone dies, </p><p>they’ve gone to rest.</p><p><br/></p><p>How true.. </p><p>is that?</p><p><br/></p><p>I believe judgment comes after death. </p><p>An accounting. </p><p>Of how you spent your days. </p><p>Of what you did with the breath you were given.</p><p><br/></p><p>Is that not so???</p><p><br/></p><p>@Pf.</p>
