MIGRAINE.
<p><br/></p><p> It starts off like a little quiet bang. A second long pain indicating the beginning of something terrible. </p><p> Like the tick-tock of a clock, the pain slowly hits the side of my brain. I know what's coming. It's inevitable. </p><p> "Take medications." They tell me. Oh, such naive souls. What do they know? </p><p> Do they know the splitting ache that leaves me stuttering and dizzy? That sawing pain behind my eyes that leaves me with blind spots. </p><p> Light becomes my greatest enemy. Sound? Another nemesis.</p><p><br/></p><p> Pain.</p><p> </p><p> My body is rendered temporarily useless as pain takes primary control. That's all I feel. Pain. </p><p> They say the heart aches so badly to the point you feel like dying when you experience heartbreak? Wait till you have a migraine. Involuntary tears rolling down your cheeks, nausea, and pain! Pain, pain, pain, everywhere!</p><p><br/></p><p> Darkness becomes your friend, a wet towel on your forehead and a pain relief dose sliding down your throat but nothing really works. </p><p> What's worse is when you have a pile of work, chore or assignment waiting for you. The deadline is near but you feel like your death is nearer. </p><p><br/></p><p> Pain.</p><p><br/></p><p> One half of your brain is probably having a fireworks party while the other feels like it's not even present. </p><p> I can't really explain it all. You'll only know if you know, and I don't pray nor wish you'd ever get to know for those who know wish they never knew.</p><p><br/></p><p> ~~~</p><p><br/></p><p> PS: THIS IS DEDICATED TO PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM MIGRAINES.</p><p> *I don't know your pain as I haven't experienced it before but hopefully this ex</p><p>presses a little.*</p><p> </p>
