People We Meet at the Wrong Time

Some people enter our lives when everything feels right, except the timing.

You meet them, and somehow conversation feels effortless. You understand each other. You laugh at things nobody else finds funny. For a moment, you wonder if maybe you've finally met someone who is meant to stay.

But life doesn't always care about how good a connection feels.

Sometimes, one person is ready while the other is still healing. Sometimes distance gets in the way. Sometimes you meet when both of you are becoming people you haven't learned to understand yet.

And eventually, you drift.

Not because anyone was terrible.

Not because the connection wasn't real.

You simply met at a time when neither of you knew what to do with what you had found.

Years later, you might still remember them.

Not with regret.

Just with that strange thought:

“Maybe, in another time, we would've been something.”

And perhaps that's the hardest part about some people.

They aren't necessarily the ones we were supposed to keep.

They are the ones we were lucky enough to meet.
