SCHOOL NA SCAM: IS IT TRUE OR NOT?

“School na scam!” This is something you will hear from students almost every day, especially when exams are close or when someone is tired of studying. Some people believe that going to school for many years is a waste of time because, after graduation, getting a good job is not even guaranteed.

But is school really a scam?

Personally, I don't think it is. School can be stressful, expensive and sometimes frustrating, but it still has its importance. Through school, we learn things that can help us in our daily lives and future careers. We also meet different people, learn how to communicate and become more responsible.

However, school is not everything. Having a certificate does not automatically mean that someone will become successful. These days, people also need practical skills, experience and determination. Someone can finish university and still struggle to find a job, while another person with a useful skill can be doing very well.

The real problem is that many students are made to believe that once they graduate, everything will become easy. That is not always the case. Education should give us knowledge, but we also need to know how to use that knowledge outside the classroom.

So, is school a scam? No, school is not a scam. But school alone is not enough. We need to learn, gain useful skills and prepare ourselves for real life.

At the end of the day, school na foundation, but na wetin you build on am matter.
