THE B-SIDE

Everyone gets a record.

The A-side is the hits. The songs everyone sings along to. Success. Love. Clarity. The moments that make sense.

I got the B-side.

It's not that the songs are bad. They're just quiet. No one plays them at parties. No one puts them on their story. They don't make people dance. They make people pause. And most people don't want to pause.

I am the song that takes time to love.

The crowd wants the hit. The hit makes them feel good. I am the slow track that sits in the sleeve, waiting for someone willing to flip the record over.

Some days I think I was made wrong. Too slow for a fast world. Too quiet for a loud one. Too deep for people who only want surface.

But maybe that's not wrong.

Maybe the B-side isn't a mistake. Maybe it's the hidden gem. The one that doesn't make sense at first, but stays with you long after the noise fades.

I don't know who I was made for. But I know I wasn't made for the crowd.

And right now, that hurts. But it also feels like the truest thing I know.
