Too Beautiful To Be Broke
<p>"She is too beautiful to be broke ''they say but they don't know how many times she debated in her mind whether poverty is better than death.</p><p>"She is too beautiful to be broke''</p><p>But they have no idea of how many times she resisted the temptation of using her body to get what she needs.</p><p>"She is too sophisticated to lack anything ''</p><p>They have no clue that she smiles at them feeling hunger.</p><p>She covers up her pain and appears in her best but her hardwork only affords her an almost empty purse.</p><p>She puts on glasses and walk on the streets .</p><p>Little do they know she uses it to cover her sunken eyes </p><p>She got patches under her shoes.</p><p>Her inner wears are held together with pins but through it all,she smiles like the day.</p><p><br/></p><p>They think she has it all.</p><p>They admire her beauty.</p><p>Her accent is clean and her voice soothingly melodies.</p><p>She walks with prestige,grace and prowess.</p><p>But deep down,her feline steps are just staggers of a weakened knee.</p><p>The girls call her slender and fit.</p><p>Little can they imagine that she is not on diet or watching her weight.</p><p>She just fasts without planning to.</p><p>They call her proud for rejecting hugs but they don't know that she can not afford to have her breasts pricked by the pins in her cloth,or be insulted for not being able to afford a body spray </p><p>They ask her why she hardly use vehicles to where she goes but she tell them that she prefers the excercise.</p><p>They just don't know or want to know...</p><p><br/></p><p>"You're too beautiful to be broke''they will say.</p><p>They do not know that she claims not to be an online type because she had no means of staying updated.</p><p>She strolls to places where there is free WiFi so she can download PDFs to study.</p><p>She covers her shame with smiles and tries to protect her dignity and passion.</p><p>Her beauty keeps her secrets hidden.</p><p>She just doesn't want to be judged wrongly.</p><p>She wants to live like everyone else but she has to sacrifice some pleasure to meet up with"family responsibilities ''.</p><p>She is a daughter,a sister,and a breadwinner.</p><p>Sometimes, she wonders why she was born first, before others.</p><p>The family burdens are placed on her shoulders.</p><p>She can't stop working 24/7.</p><p>No one believes her.</p><p>They don't know her.</p><p>She hides herself.</p><p>Because she trusts no one.</p><p>Beauty can truly be deceptive.</p>
