UNTIL YOU KNOW (pt 3)
<p>“until you know (part 3)”</p><p><br/></p><p>It didn’t happen loudly.</p><p><br/></p><p>No big moment,</p><p>no dramatic rescue,</p><p>no sudden change</p><p>that fixed everything at once.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was small.</p><p>so small,</p><p>she almost missed it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Someone noticed</p><p>she was quieter than usual</p><p>and didn’t call her “distant.”</p><p><br/></p><p>Someone saw her tired eyes</p><p>and didn’t say “sleep more,”</p><p>like it was that simple.</p><p><br/></p><p>Someone stayed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not to judge, not to fix,</p><p>not to rush her into being okay.</p><p>Just… stayed.</p><p><br/></p><p>And for the first time in a long time,</p><p>she didn’t feel like she had to perform.</p><p>She didn’t have to smile at the right moments.</p><p>didn’t have to explain herself in perfect words.</p><p><br/></p><p>she could just be...</p><p>Messy,</p><p>tired,</p><p>unsure.</p><p>And still be seen.</p><p><br/></p><p>It scared her at first.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because when you’re used to</p><p>being misunderstood,</p><p>kindness feels unfamiliar.</p><p><br/></p><p>You start to question it.</p><p><br/></p><p>“how long will this last?”</p><p>“what if they leave too?”</p><p><br/></p><p>But they didn’t.</p><p><br/></p><p>They listened</p><p>even when her words came out broken</p><p>Even when silence,</p><p>was all she could offer.</p><p><br/></p><p>And slowly, </p><p>very slowly,</p><p>She started to believe</p><p>that maybe…</p><p>She wasn’t too much.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe she wasn’t lazy.</p><p>Maybe she wasn’t</p><p>everything they said she was.</p><p>Maybe she was just a person</p><p>who had been hurting for too long</p><p>without being understood.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that changes something.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not everything...</p><p>the heavy days still come,</p><p>the quiet battles still exist...</p><p><br/></p><p>But now,</p><p>they don’t feel as lonely.</p><p><br/></p><p>Now,</p><p>there’s a voice</p><p>outside her own</p><p>that reminds her gently,</p><p><br/></p><p>“I see you.”</p><p><br/></p><p>And this time,</p><p>it’s real.</p><p><br/></p><p>So she starts again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not perfectly,</p><p>not all at once,</p><p><br/></p><p>but in small ways...</p><p><br/></p><p>Getting out of bed</p><p>without hating herself for it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Showing up</p><p>without forcing a mask.</p><p><br/></p><p>Speaking</p><p>without apologizing</p><p>for how she feels.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe the world</p><p>Still doesn’t understand her.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe some people</p><p>still talk,</p><p>still label,</p><p>still assume.</p><p><br/></p><p>But it doesn’t break her</p><p>the same way anymore.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because now she knows...</p><p><br/></p><p>Being misunderstood</p><p>doesn’t define her.</p><p>Being quiet</p><p>doesn’t make her weak.</p><p>And struggling</p><p>doesn’t make her less.</p><p><br/></p><p>She is still here.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not just surviving this time,</p><p>but slowly,</p><p>carefully,</p><p>learning how to live</p><p>without shrinking herself</p><p>to be easier to understand.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe…</p><p><br/></p><p>That’s where healing begins.</p><p>Not when everything is fixed,</p><p>but when someone finally sees you...</p><p><br/></p><p>And you start to see yourself</p><p>the same way too.</p><p><br/></p><p>~LISS WHISPERS </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
