<p>They still talk.</p><p><br/></p><p>Even after she leaves the room,</p><p>even after she goes quiet,</p><p>even after she stops trying to explain.</p><p><br/></p><p>“She’s just making excuses.”</p><p>“It’s not that hard.”</p><p>“Everyone is going through something.”</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe that last one is true.</p><p><br/></p><p>But not everyone</p><p>is falling apart this quietly.</p><p>Not everyone has mastered the art</p><p>of breaking down without making a sound.</p><p><br/></p><p>She learned that early...</p><p>How to smile,</p><p>when her chest feels tight.</p><p>How to nod,</p><p>when her mind is somewhere else.</p><p>How to say “i’m okay”,</p><p>without choking on it.</p><p><br/></p><p>She learned that people don’t stay long,</p><p>for complicated feelings.</p><p>So she made herself simple.</p><p><br/></p><p>Smaller.</p><p>Quieter.</p><p>Easier to handle.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somehow,</p><p>even that was still too much for them.</p><p><br/></p><p>They don’t see how many times</p><p>she almost gave up,</p><p>in the middle of the day...</p><p><br/></p><p>Not in a dramatic way, not loud,</p><p>not visible...</p><p>Just a soft thought that whispers,</p><p><br/></p><p>“I can’t do this anymore.”</p><p><br/></p><p>And she sits with it.</p><p>Fights it.</p><p>Pushes it down,</p><p>like it never came.</p><p><br/></p><p>And then answers a message,</p><p>or shows up late,</p><p>or forces a smile...</p><p>just enough to look normal again.</p><p><br/></p><p>But normal is exhausting.</p><p>Pretending is exhausting.</p><p>Being misunderstood over and over again</p><p>is exhausting.</p><p><br/></p><p>And what hurts the most is...</p><p><br/></p><p>She starts to believe them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Starts to wonder</p><p>if maybe she really is lazy.</p><p>Maybe she really doesn’t try.</p><p>Maybe she really is</p><p>everything they say.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because when you hear something</p><p>enough times,</p><p>it starts to sound like truth.</p><p><br/></p><p>Even when it isn’t.</p><p><br/></p><p>So she blames herself</p><p>for things she doesn’t understand,</p><p>for feelings she didn’t choose,</p><p>for battles no one else can see.</p><p><br/></p><p>And she carries it.</p><p><br/></p><p>All of it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Quietly.</p><p><br/></p><p>Like she always does.</p><p><br/></p><p>Until one day,</p><p>she stops explaining completely.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because she’s okay...</p><p>But because she’s tired</p><p>of not being believed.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tired of turning her pain</p><p>into words that people reduce</p><p>to excuses.</p><p>Tired of hoping</p><p>someone will finally say,</p><p><br/></p><p>“I see you.”</p><p>And mean it.</p><p><br/></p><p>So she says nothing.</p><p>And they call her distant.</p><p>They call her cold.</p><p>They say she changed.</p><p><br/></p><p>But the truth is...</p><p><br/></p><p>She didn’t change.</p><p>She just got tired,</p><p>of being seen wrong by people</p><p>who never tried to see her right.</p><p><br/></p><p>And still…</p><p>They will talk.</p><p>They will label her.</p><p>They will decide who she is</p><p>without ever askingvwhat it took</p><p>for her to survive this long.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because it’s easier that way.</p><p><br/></p><p>It’s always easier</p><p><br/></p><p>Until you know.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
