A CHILD'S PLIGHT
<p><br/></p><p>A special gift from God </p><p>Relevance not recognized </p><p>Purpose seeming unknown </p><p>Her worth demeaned to a point </p><p>Where it is so difficult to pick up</p><p>Trying to numb the pain </p><p>Out in the rain </p><p>All day long </p><p>No one understands </p><p>No affecting shown </p><p>No love bestowed </p><p>Life's basic necessities denied </p><p>Watching earnestly, </p><p>Her fellow moving in happiness to learn </p><p>But no chance is given </p><p>All hope lost </p><p><br/></p><p>Childhood trauma </p><p>Abuse </p><p><br/></p><p>Lack of love </p><p><br/></p><p>Insecurity</p><p><br/></p><p>Loneliness</p><p><br/></p><p>So poisonous to the core </p><p><br/></p><p>Life been so hard </p><p>Rage forming a bigger clot in her heart </p><p><br/></p><p>Trying to figure out what to do </p><p>But no option is considered </p><p><br/></p><p>Getting battered </p><p>Every now and then </p><p>Unnecessary pains inflicted </p><p>Kind of being used to the pains </p><p><br/></p><p>A child's plight </p><p>Walking around in the scorching sun </p><p>Pleading for purchase </p><p>But none is found </p><p>She doesn't stop pleading </p><p>Until purchase is found </p><p>On a wailing stomach </p><p>To bed she goes </p><p>But finds sleep not </p><p>Wide awake when the world is sound asleep</p><p>Too afraid of what might show up while dreaming</p><p><br/></p><p>A child's plight </p><p>Sitting in a corner </p><p>All alone </p><p>Various thoughts </p><p>Running through her mind</p><p>Wondering if the name she is called by guardian is actually true </p><p>Feeling so low and incapable </p><p>Wanting her life to matter </p><p>But if feels so impossible </p><p>Rage forming a bigger clot in her heart </p><p>Trying to pick up all the pieces </p><p>All the memories they somehow never leave. </p><p><br/></p><p>A child's plight.</p>
