Behind this smile is a mile of guile built over

time from this rhythm of hymns or shall I say

screams of things like, “you are memes,

you are the fat one in the room so you made the fart”

so, I smile, don't you see my smile?

I take that compliment in good faith it's a wraith

to lay in my grave, grave enough to steal

the brave I crave so Dave,

why customize my size to fit your insults.

Do you see my smile, it’s full of glee,

because I like it when you call me ugly,

I get quite wriggly like the

caterpillar you refer me to.

By the way my height is insight that I'm not

tall enough for you to see my relevance,

I appreciate.

Do you see that smile on my heart,

or the heat in my hurt every time you

part your lips to assert my addiction,

I have become a deduction,

a riddle for your kids,

a bed time story to keep them in check.

I have heard a lot of kind compliments on my scar,

“I would date you but,

that scar could win an Oscar only if it could sing.”

OH! are you not seeing the scar,

well, it’s a treasure, I keep behind my mask,

‘a tourist attraction’, when I walk into a room,

I'm the eighth wonder and I kind of

want to charge exhibition fees.

Behind this smile, is a mile of hurt

I can't run to the finish line,

I got this adrenaline rush triggered

by depression, suppression,

appreciation of all these compliments.
