I used to think I needed to be the best to win.

The smartest writer. The prettiest design. The perfect caption.

So I’d wait. Draft for days. Delete everything. Tell myself “not yet”.

Meanwhile, someone with less skill was posting daily. Messy posts. Typos. But posting.

And that person was growing. Getting sales. Getting noticed.

That’s when it hit me:

*Consistency beats talent when talent doesn’t show up.*

I had to learn this about myself the hard way.

I’d spend hours planning one perfect post, then post nothing for a week.

I told myself I was “crafting”. But really, I was hiding.

Talent without action is just potential. Potential doesn’t pay bills. Potential doesn’t build audience.

But average effort + daily showing up? That changes everything.

The person who writes one paragraph daily finishes a book.

The person who posts once daily builds an audience.

The person who learns one thing daily becomes an expert.

Small looks useless in the moment. But small compounds.

Small post today. Small post tomorrow. Small post next week.

One month later, you have 30 posts.

Three months later, you have momentum.

One year later, people call you “overnight success”.

But it was never overnight. It was showing up on the days I felt invisible about myself.

I stopped waiting to be perfect. I started showing up.

Some posts flopped. Some got 3 likes. Some got saved 200 times.

I couldn’t predict which one would blow. But I knew this: zero posts = zero chance.

So I chose consistency over perfection.

And consistency built what talent alone never could.

You don’t need to be the best in the room. You just need to be the one who stays in the room.

The one who shows up when it’s quiet.

The one who posts when no one claps.

Talent opens the door. Consistency walks through it and stays.

Start messy. Start small. But start.

Because the only post that never works is the one you never post.

---

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

We pick the top 3.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
