Dear (not) me,

If truly, a universe parallel to ours exists, I hope the version of me there is a much lighter person.

I hope she's not as sensitive as I am and doesn't notice everything, even the ones she's not supposed to.

I hope she's happy, I hope she has friends and never feels alone.

I hope she doesn't feel like a burden and I hope she doesn't bottle up all her emotions.

I hope she speaks for herself, I hope she speaks at all.

I hope she actually goes for the things she loves, without fear, without reservation.

I hope she's able to let things go. Not just things, but people who are not meant to be.

I hope she is forgiving, not just to every other person..I hope she's forgiving to herself, more than anybody.

I hope she actually enjoys whatever it is that she's doing and not drowning in grief.

I hope she was selfish sometimes and actually puts herself first.

I hope she actually feels worthy of love and not take scraps from people she has poured herself into all her life.

I hope she doesn't feel like she always has to figure out life and that it is okay for things to be messy sometimes.

I hope she feels pretty, not just once in a while, I hope she doesn't have to pick herself apart every time she looks in the mirror.

And I hope she loves, openly, freely, without abandon.
