<p>And so the girl cried, desperately holding onto her pillow as if it were the only thing able to fix her.</p><p>The pain she felt was almost physically impossible for her body to bear.</p><p>She also needed water, her throat was dry and she was seriously dehydrated.</p><p>She hoped nobody noticed that she had cried, but then she remembered that nobody ever does. Though this time was different, her bunkmate looked at her with concern and asked if she was okay and if she had cried. Her heart momentarily raced as she thought of an excuse, a believable lie, and then said "I just have this thing with my sister" and that convinced her bunkmate.</p><p>The girl wished, really wished it were that simple.</p><p>And when sleep came, daring to claim her, the one wish on her tongue, the one request to God if he was truly there, was to not allow her see yet another light of day.</p>
