DON'T ASK ME WHAT I SAW

I looked at the wounds on my hand. They were a bit deep, but that didn't stop me from moving.

I crossed the road and quickly looked around, hoping to see a bus. Then I spotted one coming. I stepped into the middle of the road and waved my hands frantically until the bus finally stopped.

I rushed to the door and begged them to help me. They looked like a couple. Without asking too many questions, they opened the door and let me in.

"Please, just drive. Get me out of here," I pleaded.

The driver immediately pulled away.

For a few moments, there was nothing but silence. Then the lady turned toward me, concern written all over her face.

"What happened to you?" she asked.

The memory of everything that happened hit me like a wave.

I had been forcefully taken by my grandmother for a ritual, and I escaped in the middle of it. They thought I was possessed because whatever I said always seemed to come true.

But just because someone can see things others can't, does that really mean they're possessed?

Imagine telling my helpers what had actually happened to me. They'd probably throw me off their bus.

So instead, I pretended that my head was hurt, hoping they wouldn't ask too many questions.

I groaned and held my head, and thankfully, they stopped asking questions. Instead, they decided to take me to the hospital since the cut on my hand was still bleeding.

By the time we got there, I was already feeling dizzy. The guy quickly carried me inside, where I was attended to almost immediately.

I ended up getting seven stitches.

Isn't that beautiful? 😅😅

They put me on a drip, and before long, I dozed off.

When I woke up, I felt much better, with considerably less pain. Although, I had a terrible dream.

But before I could dwell on it, I got distracted by the jawline and those green eyes staring intently at me.

Oh my God!!!

It looked quite scary at first. 😂🤭

But... I like what I'm seeing.

Then I noticed another pair of brown eyes staring at me with the same intensity. I decided to open my eyes properly, and that's when I saw them clearly.

It was the couple who had helped me.

I immediately decided to check their hands for rings.

There were none.

But they looked so alike. I mean, couples sometimes start looking like each other after being together for too long, right?
