I woke up after a long night. It had been a while since I'd slept so peacefully, and honestly, I really enjoyed it. Last night had been amazing. 😅😅😅 There had been a lot of adrenaline involved, but somehow, I had managed to get through it all. I got out of bed and headed for the bathroom. I took my time showering, letting the warm water soothe me. Mehnnn, the hot water felt so good. 😌 When I was done, I dried my hair with a towel and headed toward the wardrobe. I found a beautiful white-and-pink floral dress and slipped it on. Just then, I heard a knock on the door. It was Dani. She handed me a bag. “I got some underwear for you yesterday, but I forgot to give them to you.” I smiled and took the bag from her. “Thank you.” I was already wondering what I was going to wear underneath the dress, so she had come right on time. I wanted to believe it was just a coincidence. I mean, she's a lady just like me, so she must have thought about it. Or maybe… Maybe they were simply a caring and loving family. I decided to push the thought aside. I picked one and put it on. Then I combed my hair and decided I was going to look beautiful today. I let my hair down, allowing it to fall freely around my shoulders. Heads are gonna turn today. 😏😏 “Ohhh no! The ashes!” I suddenly remembered them. I rushed to the door to pack them away, but the moment I looked They were gone. My heart dropped. How? When? “Ohhkkk… ohhkkk.” I took a deep breath. I needed to calm down and think clearly. I wished I could use my powers fully. If I could, I would have found out who was behind this. “Let me try.” I muttered the chant under my breath and focused. For a moment, everything around me blurred. Then I saw it. A pair of legs. The door was opening, and a man's hand reached down and carefully swept the ashes away. “Shoot.” The vision faded before I could see his face. It wasn't clear enough. I stopped and took a deep breath. At least I knew one thing. It was a guy. I decided to try again, but before I could, there was a knock on the door. I heard Daniel's voice from the other side. “Elizabeth, are you awake? We’re about to have breakfast.” “Yessssss!” Finally! My stomach groaned at the thought of food. I rushed to the door and opened it in excitement, completely forgetting that Daniel was standing right outside. His hands gave way as the door opened, and he stumbled forward, falling straight onto me. “Nooooooooooo!” “Ouch!” Daniel quickly apologized, helped me to my feet, and made sure I was steady. I was whining because I had landed on my hand the same one that was still healing. Daniel's expression immediately changed when he noticed. He looked like he was about to cry. Then he looked at my face. And suddenly, he burst out laughing. I stared at him in disbelief. Seriously? I was in pain, and he was laughing at me. 😭😂 He said I had this childish and funny look on my face. I was so shocked. Did he seriously just call me childish? He quickly apologized for laughing and led me toward the dining room. Wowww! The dining room was huge, just as I expected from a rich family. There was a huge spread of food on the table fluffy pancakes with syrup, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausages, waffles, toast with butter and jam, fried potatoes, fresh fruits, and glasses of orange juice. I quickly picked a seat beside Emily because she was sitting alone. She smiled at me. “Good morning.” “Good morning,” I replied with a smile. She looked at me for a moment before adding, “You look so beautiful.” I blushed. “Thank you.” I mean… isn't that right? 😏😏😏🤭🤭 Everyone at least gave me a good look. I couldn't help but smile to myself. This is just me without even trying. What would happen if I actually put in some effort? 😏 I was already feeling myself, and honestly, I wasn't mad about it. 🤭 Okay, that's enough. Reality check. I also wanted to investigate the legs and hands I had seen. So, we all started eating. I'm going to eat till I'm full. 😂 As I ate, I kept watching. Then I accidentally dropped my fork. Perfect. When I bent down to pick it up, I'd be able to get a good look at their legssss. 🙂🙂🙂 I'm so smartttt. I quickly bent down to pick it up, but Emily was faster than me. She reached down and picked it up before I could. Oohhhh, shootttt! Did I ask her for help? 😭😭😭 I smiled at her and thanked her, even though I was fuming inside. I'll look for another chance to investigate. When we were done eating, Stefan rang a bell beside him, and a lady and a man came in and cleared the table. Oohhh, beautiful. They had people. Emily then whispered to me, “My parents are coming today. Their flight just landed.” I remembered that Daniel had told me about this earlier. Then I remembered the picture he said he was going to try to get from his mom. I really wanted to see it. We went to the sitting room to wait. I didn't want to sit around doing nothing, so I decided to ask Stefan if he could give me a book. I could use the opportunity to check his hands. I walked over to him and asked, “Can I get a book to while away some time?” He said yes and told me he had a library. He could take me there if I wanted. “Oohhhhhh.” Wowwwww. “I'd love to,” I said. He told everyone that we were heading to the library, then led me through the hallway. We turned around a corner and finally arrived at a huge door. Uhhhhhhhhh. He opened the door, and I gasped. There were books literally everywhere in the library. They filled almost every available space. It was huge. He chuckled when he saw my reaction. I smiled and began looking around. Then the door closed behind me. I looked back and saw Stefan standing by the door. Wait, chill, girl. It's normal to close the door, right? So, I moved around the library, but he kept following me. Then I saw a book about spells. It was disguised as poetry, so ordinary humans couldn't decipher it. Yessssss! I tried to reach it, but I couldn't. “Why am I not tall?” I muttered. Stefan reached above me to help me get it, so I quickly fixed my eyes on his hand and checked it. It wasn't his hand. His hand brushed my shoulder as he took the book, and suddenly, a vision flashed before my eyes. I snapped back to reality before he could notice anything. What did I just see? I was shaking. Stefan held my shoulders and asked, “Are you okay?” I can't remain here. So, I quickly told Stefan that I was feeling a bit dizzy and wanted to rest. I also asked if it was okay if I took the book with me to read later. He nodded. Then he carried me out of the library. I was too shocked to speak. Why? Then he dropped me onto my bed. He told me to rest and left immediately. Daniel knocked on the door and told me they were going to pick up their parents and would be back soon. He also told me that if I needed anything, I should ask Dani since she wasn't going along. I said okay. The moment I heard the door close, I quickly went to where I had kept some of the ashes and sprinkled them around the door. Something was going to happen. The vision was a warning.
