When you hear the word, "feminism" or "feminist" what comes to mind?

Some may say, "It's women trying to dominate men and take over". Others say, "women hiding under a cover to hate men".

I have a different point of view concerning feminism.

Feminism in simple terms is women fighting for equal rights in a country, state, or society. Yes, fighting for equal rights, not dominating as a lot of people like to call it.

Why do we fight for feminism? Because of the unequal treatment in the society amongst males and females. In most African countries or Africa as a whole, women are said to be destined for the kitchen, to be a housewife, sometimes they don't go to school because it's not seen as important, after all, "she'll just get married and submit to her husband"

No!

Women should be allowed to dream, to thrive. Education is for all, and because one day she'll get married doesn't mean she shouldn't learn.

Some cultures believe women should be treated as less. Those customs are outdated, and sadly some people still believe it, feel it's the right thing. Now, I'm not asking you to lose your traditional roots, tradition is important. All I'm saying is, those customs should be updated. It's time to stop living in the era of cavemen.

Feminism is not only for women, I believe men should join hands and move for the empowerment of female rights. Let the word spread!

Equal rights for all is what I and many others continue to fight for, not dominance, equality.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
