More than an Empty Space
<p>Nobody tells you of the anxiety that comes with losing someone so good to you. It's like a missing head in your mind, except it's probably the most important. </p><p><br/></p><p>It may stabilise you.. a lot. And if this was about me—which it is, yes it did. </p><p><br/></p><p>I hung on to the false hopes of—</p><p>"Maybe another will come",</p><p>"Maybe they'll come around again",</p><p>"Maybe I should check up again",</p><p>"Maybe I'm not just being honest".</p><p><br/></p><p>Those 'maybes' became clear soon enough when I asked myself in a hypnagogia,</p><p>"What am I so afraid of?" </p><p><br/></p><p>My chest became warm, hot, heavy,</p><p>Beating like I was about to die at war,</p><p>A tingle in my head like a needle pierced my cranium,</p><p>Soon after it felt I got stabbed in my heart.</p><p><br/></p><p>I lost it,</p><p>Sometimes an empty space would only remain,</p><p>People leave, </p><p>I'm weak enough to say I miss everyone that used the door — her,</p><p>When I can only watch them go.</p><p><br/></p><p>The only problem is,</p><p>I chose this path,</p><p>When all I had was an empty filling.</p><p><br/></p>
