<p>My salary before it enters my account is a whole CEO.</p><p>It’s confident. It’s glowing. It has plans.</p><p>We’re budgeting. We’re saving. We’re investing.</p><p>“This month is different,” it says.</p><p>“This month, we are responsible adults.”</p><p>I’m already calculating soft life.</p><p>Maybe small brunch.</p><p>Maybe new wig.</p><p>Maybe I’ll finally be that “financial discipline babe” on YouTube.</p><p>Then… credit alert.</p><p>I open my banking app with joy.</p><p>For exactly 3 minutes, I’m a rich aunty.</p><p>I start walking differently in my room.</p><p>I’m even replying messages faster.</p><p>Life is sweet.</p><p>Then reality logs in.</p><p>Rent reminder.</p><p>Electricity bill.</p><p>WiFi subscription.</p><p>Data.</p><p>Transport.</p><p>That one subscription I forgot to cancel since 2022.</p><p>And suddenly, everybody I owe remembers me at the same time.</p><p>My salary after it enters my account?</p><p>Humbled.</p><p>Confused.</p><p>Traumatized.</p><p>It doesn’t even sit down.</p><p>It just touches the account and says,</p><p>“I was never yours. I was just passing through.”</p><p>Now I’m staring at the remaining balance like,</p><p>“So… you again?”</p><p>By week two, I’m googling,</p><p>“How to make money online urgently.”</p><p>By week three, I’m pricing pure water like it’s a luxury item.</p><p>But don’t worry.</p><p>Next month will be different.</p><p>Because before it enters my account…</p><p>My salary and I?</p><p>We dream big.</p>
