<p> EXCRUCIATING!!!!, is what I hear.</p><p> Ineffective use of power is what I see.</p><p> A burden on all our pockets is what i feel. </p><p> To “before one” is to “before harm”, and now the common man is in harm’s way. The situation at hand is an epidemic of instability and misplaced priorities.</p><p><br/></p><p> The common man feels the heat of the misappropriation and damage caused to the economy, as it is widely known that inflation in the price of fuel is the emerging of inflation in other goods, making it hard for the common man to survive. </p><p><br/></p><p> I was having a conversation with someone, and I asked, what choice do the leaders of tomorrow have, when the leaders of today cling to power as if it were a birthright? It’s futile. </p><p><br/></p><p> For a body to function properly, all parts of the body must perform effectively, cause if one fails, it affects the others. Same in government, corruption spreads, from one office to the other, and if one office fails to perform, it affects all. If the Judiciary fails, there is no accountability for the Executive. If the Legislature fails, there is no check on spending. </p><p><br/></p><p> It all falls on the common man. The political economy is on the edge and it’s gradually draining the common man of all the resources, he worked hard to achieve. </p><p><br/></p><p> A topic for discussion, a need for restitution of what is supposed to be: “Salus populi suprema lex esto” translating to: "The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law." </p><p> For let it be known that Abusus non tollit usum "Abuse does not take away the use." And the goal be the common good for all and all, guided by Justitia omnibus, "Justice for all."</p><p><br/></p><p> If the welfare of the people is the supreme law, why does it feel like the last priority? How do we break the 'birthright' mentality of the current political class and reclaim our seat at the table?</p><p><br/></p><p> The 'body' is failing because its vital organs—the Judiciary and Legislature—are out of sync. Which part of the system do you believe needs the most urgent 'medical' attention to save the common man?<br/></p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
