Stop having children if you're not capable of providing for them

The Weight of Responsibility

The call for individuals to stop having children if they are not capable of providing for them is not a judgment on desire, but an urgent demand for responsibility and foresight. This is a topic that requires an honest, difficult conversation about the fundamental obligation that comes with creating a new life.

A child’s well-being is not a matter of hope or luck; it is a direct result of the resources, stability, and care provided by their parents. When a child is born into a situation where their basic needs—food, shelter, healthcare, and education—cannot be reliably met, they are instantly placed at a severe disadvantage. This action essentially forces a vulnerable human being to start their life from a position of chronic poverty and struggle.

It is essential to understand the difference between a private choice and a public burden. When parents knowingly bring children into poverty, the consequences of their carelessness and poor planning often spill over, making that child's desperation become someone else's priority. This burden falls on the immediate community, the extended family who must step in, and ultimately, on the social safety nets that struggle to cope with the sheer number of people needing support.

Having children is the single most significant commitment a person can make. That commitment must be grounded in a realistic assessment of one's ability to provide a safe, nurturing, and resourced environment. Until that capability is established, restraint is the most profound act of love and civic responsibility.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.

Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
