When Someone Stops Feeling Like Home

There was a time when talking to them felt like coming home.

You could tell them anything. The little things, the embarrassing things, the things you couldn't explain to anyone else.

Then, slowly, something changed.

The conversations became shorter. The laughter became forced. You started thinking twice before sharing things because somehow, the comfort wasn't there anymore.

And the hardest part?

Nobody necessarily did anything terrible.

Sometimes, people simply grow in different directions.

You may still care about them. You may still remember the good days. But deep down, you know that the place you once had in each other's lives no longer exists.

And that's okay.

Not everyone who once felt like home is meant to remain your address forever.

Sometimes, growing up means learning to leave places that no longer feel like you. đź–¤
