Why I Started My NGO
<p>Four years ago, I set up Your Safe Space NG Foundation.</p><p>It was all because of my younger brother on the spectrum.</p><p>Yes, this community is for special-needs siblings who need their own person to check up on them, for comfort, love, and someone to talk to. </p><p>But it is also for people like my brother. When caregivers and siblings are provided with strength, comfort, and support, we can show up so much better for the children in our lives.</p><p><img alt="" src="/media/inline_insight_image/1787533895453.jpg"/></p><p>I have read stories of caregivers reaching breaking points because they felt entirely alone and overwhelmed by the weight of caregiving. </p><p>A mother killed herself and her child with special needs because she couldn’t leave him alone in this world. </p><p>My deepest desire is to change that reality, to ensure no one feels stranded or without a support system.</p><p>So, I am here to tell you about my free event for the special-needs community on September 12th.
