You Go Collect": The Aggressive Love of an Eternal Father

We have an Eternal Father Who Basically Says, "Try anything with my children, and you go collect"

One of my most vivid memories of my Father goes back to my primary school days. A teacher had physically assaulted my sister; she had visible scars. The next morning, my Father drove us to school, and when he saw the man, he didn't hesitate. He confronted him and made it clear that hurting his child came with consequences.

Now, I don't condone violence, but what that moment taught me was this: a true father protects his children. He defends them without hesitation. He doesn't wait for permission to fight on their behalf. And that's a quality I deeply admire in fathers, earthly or heavenly.

Think about God. He's not just a provider we turn to when we need something. He's not just a bank. He's Abba, our Father, and one of the most powerful roles He plays is Defender.

Recently, I went through a spiritual scare that left me unsure of how to move forward. I was crying in fear. My Father's village people were basically trying me. But God showed up. He fought for my family in a way only a Father can.

If you're in a battle today, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, remember this: God fights for you. You are not alone, and you are not defenseless. He says he will fight for you.

Take a moment to listen to "Fights for Me" by Ty Bello. Let the lyrics remind you that no battle is too big, no threat too strong, and no night too dark for the One who calls you His own.

Happy Father's Day! And to all the unmarried men who have unprotected sex and don't use condoms….Well, let's say you may be celebrating Father’s Day next year. Dirty diapers and excessive midnight crying await you.

Love, Toyin
