A grave misunderstanding exists in the world today, and by misunderstanding I mean be-spoke confusion. In Attempting to reward every cruise, every meme, I think we’ve unconsciously forgotten the importance of “Authenticity”. If we’re to experience true reformation and restoration of authentic and valuable lessons, we have to look sideways.

By Sideways, I mean not cheering stupid people on, not actively upholding the works of silly men, not applauding that meager humor cause it allows us to flex our facial muscles.

Not everyone will resist the urge to not applaud the current rotten and unhealthy uprising, because no matter what you say to them, they just can’t see what you see, not because they’re dumb, not because they don’t understand you, but because they remain neutral to both sides. In a sense that there’s a balanced sequence they operate on——— Few Work, Few Meme. Until it affects them in ways they can’t even imagine.

A quick look at a recent video of one of our very own “Upriser” Mr. P ( Peller) shows that all active effort to go back to speaking fluent English proves difficult, because when he started, people never applauded his fluency, but the moment he made a blunder, there was a spark, it boosted his likes, followers, comments and shares.

So, maybe the issue isn’t those that are a part of the uprising, the issue lies with “Us” upholding their very blunder, their grammatical error, their nonchalance and rewarding their illicit behaviors.

Another case study would be the influence they have on the younger generations——- The “Gen-Z” You can’t even ask a simple question without them going to seek validation on the net, or on their WhatsApp Status or whatever Social Media tool sparks their interest.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? The most common answer would be, “ I wanna be a content creator with a remote work” A flexible remote job that allows me to create content, and also day in my life vlogs and “GRWM” (Get Ready With Me) Videos.

Suddenly nobody wants to become a 9-5er, nobody wants to become successful through hard work, nobody wants to actively put in the work.

We’ve seen how the industry gets rewarded, we’ve seen how they cheer them on, we want same for ourselves. Even those that are meant to go back to finish their education choose to dropout, so they can pursue their content creation dreams.

In all honesty, it worked for majority of them, but how about the ones that gets left out?

The ones that never got past 2likes and 1 comment, the ones without no follower? The ones without a name?

They’d actually be able to go back to school, if they hadn’t been rusticated because they chose to film their intimate moments to upload it on the net, so people can see how their so called “Boyfriend or Girlfriend” rough handled them in so many S****x positions.

Our constant need for validation will somehow cause an end for us! It’ll end us, and before it does, I pray we all come back to our senses, and give audience to content that actually matters.

Whatever happened to STEM? Whatever happened to learning multiple languages, whatever happened to watching that online Further Math teacher tutoring us on the branches of Mathematics.

It can get better, if we want it too.

They’ve seen that people would lead them on, join their live videos, comment and share. Send gifts worth millions. But after that what’s next? They never realize the damage they’ve done to themselves and not those that cheers them on.

This is a wake up call, and I hope it’s not too late to start meaningful and valuable conversations.
