Juste paix.</p><p><br/></p><p>À la prochaine.</p><p>Je suis fier de moi!!!</p><p><br/></p><p>People who know me will understand why I have to start doing this. The life of a linguist!!!</p><p><br/></p><p>It’s fun and challenging to learn something new.</p><p><br/></p><p>Linguist will tell you that the acquisition and process of learning of learning have two different meaning, though they sound pretty much synonymous.</p><p><br/></p><p> So basically, when a child naturally begins to adopt a language from birth without no formal education, just basically assimilation through exposure to his immediate language community which stimulates cognitive development (psycho linguistics), we say the child is or has acquired his first language, irrespective of what language it is. Be it a native tongue or a foreign language.</p><p><br/></p><p> Learning a language requires formal teaching. Basically going to school to learn the basics , hidden rules and correct structure of language.(simplifying this to make it less complex)</p><p><br/></p><p> That’s why I used that word <strong>learn</strong> and not <strong>acquire.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p> I can say for sure that I’m improving in it, just a bit slow in it. Why? Discipline. Alot is going on okay? But I have to build my acquisition skills to know I am fully productive in a language, typically the one I’m studying. Not coercion but simply me saying you don’t know where tomorrow may bring..</p><p><br/></p><p>One secret: I use AI to learn too, even to correct grammar error. Some may say mistake. It’s still a flaw that needs polishing.</p><p><br/></p><p>But don’t heavily rely on them. While it can be misleading, extensively read to gain insight from other sources.</p><p><br/></p><p>It’s something we all know but it mustn’t go unnoticed. It has to be said always. People are lax nowadays. Anything that brings ease is good for us. It is slowly killing us and we don’t know. Our brain won’t function well, just like the way our body won’t function well if we don’t eat. It becomes weak. Productivity will be slower. Our brains becomes dull and inactive.</p><p><br/></p><p>Feed your brain with knowledge, good or bad. Choose what it is needed and keep the other somewhere in that organ.</p><p> </p><p><br/></p><p>Learn something today</p><p>I’m sure I will soon.</p><p><br/></p>

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

We pick the top 3.

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
