Not Every Friendship Is Supposed to Last Forever

I used to think that if someone was truly your friend, they would always remain in your life.

But I’ve learned that not every friendship is meant to last forever.

Some people come into your life during a particular season. They are there when you need them, you grow together, share memories, and eventually, your paths start going in different directions.

Sometimes there is no big fight. No betrayal. No dramatic ending.

You simply stop talking as much.

The conversations become shorter. The things you once had in common don't feel the same anymore. And one day, you realize that someone who used to be a huge part of your life has become a stranger.

It can hurt, especially when you keep wondering, “What went wrong?”

But maybe nothing went wrong.

Maybe you both just changed.

We often hold on to friendships because of the memories we shared, even when the friendship itself no longer exists in the same way.

And that's okay.

Some friendships are meant to teach us something, support us through a difficult period, or simply give us beautiful memories.

Not everyone who leaves your life was meant to stay.

Sometimes, letting a friendship go isn't losing someone.

Sometimes, it's accepting that you've both become different people.

And honestly, that's just life.
