From the onset, The question that lingered at the back of my mind remained; why me? Why has this decided to be a reoccurring thing? Is it ever going to stop? Is there ever going to be an end to it? I wonder…

An author of my tears, or the brains behind my weeping? I tried so hard to give it meaning, but words failed me.

While the tears may not be literal, it really just speaks about how sad, broken and miserable someone can be.

AAOMT? It all happened when I started having delusional thoughts about my own life and situations. Could I possibly control my life? Like be the true pioneer? I wonder…

About a year ago; while chilling at my favorite cafeteria “The coke Palace”, I met this girl named “Laura” A young lady, prolly 20 or 21 there about. Dark, short and slim; she looked like a true fairy, with eyes as bright and brown as the sun. Laura looked like the type of lady that would get whatever she wanted with the snap of her fingers. I wasn’t bothered by it, as I stood on my feet to exchange greetings with her.

“Hi, I’m Tavi, may I please know your name?”

She replied “I’m Laura, nice to meet you!”

Just after saying her name, she looked me from my head down to my toe and back, She expressed a little smile on her face. That boosted my confidence a little, and I decided to continue with it.

“ Are you here for a meal, or you’re just looking to know the place? I asked..

She smiled and said “yeah, I’m new to the neighborhood and so, flatmates recommended this spot for me, and by the look of things, they might be right about the place.”

Well, I don’t know what you heard, but with your reply, you must have heard great things about this spot.. I replied..

Yeah, yeah… she replied!

Let’s have a sit at my table, it’s just me here, and I’d love for you to join in on the fun; I said.

We made way to the table and sat, asked her what she’d like, she replied with “I’m fine with water.”

Judging by her reply, I guess she didn’t want to do too much, and since it’s our first time meeting, she also didn’t know the type of man i was.

We continued to talk and she explained she’s here on a vacation from Port harcourt, without no timeframe as to when she’d be leaving for her place. I smiled, and I replied okay.

2 heures into our conversation, she smiled and said she’d like to take her leave now, as she’s still new to the neighborhood, without no idea of the ins and outs yet. We exchanged digits, and I also offered to escort her down to hers, but she refused and thanked me.

Her face, voice and smile didn’t leave me, it was the highlight of my day, and I thought about that moment until I got home, also until the worker of the night took me, “Sleep” I mean.

Just before night time, she’d texted me to inform me she’s now at home, while the content of the message reads;

“Hi Tavi, I just reached my flat, and I just wanted to say thank you for the kind gesture today, God bless you dearie!❤️”

I smiled at it, and just drifted off to sleep! 💤 💤💤

Watch out for Part 2!!

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
