How Referral Earnings Work
Invite people to join TwoCents with your referral code and earn when they complete a valid account activation.
Referral Earnings are rewards you receive when someone joins TwoCents using your unique referral code and completes a valid account activation.
Each successful referral increases your referral count and may add money to your Referral Earnings balance.
Referral Earnings are separate from your Contributor Points, Points-to-Coupons, Tips, Subscriptions, Competition Prizes, and other TwoCents earnings.
A referral is normally recorded when:
- You share your unique TwoCents referral code or referral link.
- A new user applies that code while signing up or completing account activation.
- The referral code belongs to a valid TwoCents account.
- The new user is not the owner of the referral code.
- The referral has not already been recorded for that user.
Each referred account can generate a referral reward only once. Reopening the activation page or submitting the form again will not create another reward.
The referral code should be applied during signup or activation. A referral may not be attachable to an account after the activation process has been completed.
Referral earning access is available to qualifying TwoCents accounts under the current referral programme rules.
- Verified users can currently earn from up to 200 eligible referrals.
- Trusted Contributors can currently earn from up to 1,000 eligible referrals.
- Your account must remain active and in good standing.
- Suppressed, restricted, fraudulent, or inactive accounts may be prevented from earning.
- You must set a supported local currency before monetary rewards can be added to your balance.
Your account does not currently meet all the requirements for Referral Earnings.
Reaching your referral cap does not necessarily stop people from using your code, but referrals above your current cap will not increase your eligible earnings.
Every supported currency has a base referral amount. Your final earning per successful referral is calculated as:
Currency base amount × your earning tier
For example, if the Nigerian Naira base amount is ₦100:
- Tier 1 earns ₦100 per referral.
- Tier 2 earns ₦200 per referral.
- Tier 3 earns ₦300 per referral.
- Tier 4 earns ₦400 per referral.
- Tier 5 earns ₦500 per referral.
You have not set your local currency. Set it before Referral Earnings can be calculated for your account.
Referral Earning Tiers determine the multiplier applied to your currency's base referral amount.
- Tier 1: 1× the base referral amount.
- Tier 2: 2× the base referral amount.
- Tier 3: 3× the base referral amount.
- Tier 4: 4× the base referral amount.
- Tier 5: 5× the base referral amount.
Tiers are assigned and managed by TwoCents. Users cannot select or change their own earning tier.
Your current tier is: Tier — with a × multiplier .
If your tier changes, the new multiplier applies to qualifying referral earnings recorded after the change. Referral earnings already recorded are not rewritten.
Your Referral Earnings dashboard may show several different totals:
- Total referrals shows how many people have joined using your referral code.
- Eligible referrals shows how many referrals currently fall within your earning limit.
- All-time earnings shows the total Referral Earnings credited to you over time.
- Available earnings shows the amount currently available for a withdrawal request.
- Total withdrawn shows how much you have previously withdrawn from Referral Earnings.
Your total referral count and eligible referral count may be different if you have reached your current earning cap or if some referrals are not eligible.
Referral Earnings become withdrawable in complete units of 10 eligible referrals.
For example, if you have 27 eligible referrals, earnings for 20 referrals may be withdrawable. The remaining 7 continue counting toward your next complete unit.
A withdrawal may also require:
- A sufficient available Referral Earnings balance.
- A supported local currency.
- An eligible bank account or payout method in the required currency.
- Satisfaction of the minimum withdrawal amount.
- Successful account and transaction checks.
An amount may be temporarily reserved while a withdrawal is being processed. Reserved earnings cannot be submitted in another withdrawal at the same time.
TwoCents may still record valid people who joined using your referral code even when you have not yet set your local currency.
However, a monetary amount cannot be calculated until your account has a supported local currency.
When you activate a supported currency, eligible earlier referrals may be reconciled and added to your Referral Earnings balance, subject to your current referral cap, tier, and the applicable programme rules.
Referral Earnings are currently being introduced by supported currency, starting with Nigerian Naira. Other currencies may become available as TwoCents expands its international earning and payout features.
Referral Earnings are intended to reward genuine community growth. Artificial, duplicate, or coordinated activity is not eligible.
Prohibited activity includes:
- Creating another account to use your own referral code.
- Creating or controlling multiple accounts to generate rewards.
- Asking someone to create fake, temporary, or duplicate accounts.
- Using automated or scripted signup activity.
- Buying, selling, or exchanging fake referrals.
- Entering false identity, country, currency, or payout information.
- Attempting to claim the same referred user more than once.
Suspicious referrals may be rejected, removed, withheld, or reviewed. Accounts involved in referral abuse may lose their Referral Earnings, withdrawal access, or TwoCents account.
Why did my referral count increase without an earnings increase?
Your currency may not be set or supported, your account may not currently be eligible, or you may have reached your referral cap.
Why is my total referral count higher than my eligible referral count?
Only referrals within your current earning cap are included in eligible earnings.
Why can I not withdraw my full available balance?
Referral withdrawals are based on complete units of 10 eligible referrals and may also be subject to minimum withdrawal and payout requirements.
Can I choose my own earning tier?
No. Referral Earning Tiers are assigned and managed by TwoCents.
Can two people receive a reward for referring the same user?
No. A referred user can be connected to only one valid referral code.
Can Referral Earnings rules change?
Yes. TwoCents may update referral rates, tiers, eligibility requirements, limits, supported currencies, withdrawal rules, and anti-fraud checks to keep the programme fair and sustainable.
Referral Earning Tiers
