<p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Heartbreak is one of the phases of life; contrary to regular perception, you don't have to be in a relationship to be heartbroken. </p><p>Sometimes it can be likened to your hopes being dashed away. Sometimes it seems your dreams are nothing and forever nothing but 'dreams.' Sometimes things we wish for, hope for, and pray for just don't work out. Not because we're lazy or slothful, not because we're not qualified or well-made enough, not because we're incapable, or for any unimaginable or ridiculous reasons. It just goes against our will, and take it or leave it; it hurts, really bad. So bad that you feel devastated, frustrated, and confused. </p><p>You automatically feel detached from everything going around you. Your heart feels like a heavy stone – too heavy to lift; its weight drags you down with it. And suddenly, you begin to curse your ill fate and wonder why yours isn't going your way. You begin to question why God didn't make it happen. And sometimes, you secretly or silently develop hatred for someone whom the universe seems to be favoring. At times, this latter feeling doesn't last forever. Then, finally, you get exhausted, fagged out, and depressed.</p><p> Now, if all this is not heartbreak, I wonder what it is then.....</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>And then, out of nowhere, when all hope is almost lost, help surfaces when you least or never expected, beyond one's comprehension. Thus, sending a warm ray of light to one's heart. Well, the irony is that having eventually gotten what you prayed and wished for - after countless disappointments, tears, pain, suffering, shame, mockery, or whatever you name it; you temporarily (if not permanently) forget those "endless" setbacks, putting a big smile on your once grieving face.</p>
