Brother Keeper

This is it. I saw what they did, I saw them the moment they walked into the classroom. No one else was there, just Aaron and I. They didn’t see me though because I hid behind the lockers. They walked up to Aaron as he quietly packed his books from the table. They circled him, they weren’t really talking but each time Aaron tried to walk away, they would push him back. He wasn’t fighting back, I think he realized that this was a fight he was going to lose. Eventually, they stopped pushing him and threw his bag on the ground and they started hitting him. He tried to block their attacks but two boys held his hands apart and Morris kept hitting. They took turns hitting him and they didn’t stop, not when he started crying, not when he started bleeding and not when he was too weak to stand and not when he wasn’t breathing. I think they had realized what they had done because they started to panic and just when they were about to leave the classroom, one of them spotted me, in-between the chairs and tables that were kept at the back. They dragged me out and I was clawing my way to escape from their grasp but it was futile. I cried and begged them to let me go. I promised not to tell anyone and act like I knew nothing but they didn’t let me go. I had seen what they did and no one could ever know. So before they left that classroom, they made sure I was dead as well.
