DEAR TOBI

I stumbled on this platform on a friend's status, she had just posted her first insight and I was curious

"Twocents"

I was enticed by the allure of earning money from my thoughts or at least the possibility of it.

I wanted an opportunity to make a quick buck

"It'll be easy, I just have to do this and that"

Hilarious

I went through the site some more and did a quick scan of all those that came before me, taking note of their progress and I realised

Nothing about this easy...but it is fun

It's nice to have a place to air out your opinions and let your voice be heard peacefully without trolls or distractions

It's not chaotic like X but not pretentious like Reddit...just nice

The temptation to cheat for easy plot points using AI did come up but I promised myself this would be my special place where I say things unfiltered and direct from the source

Years ago, a younger me would've done anything to be a part of this but somewhere along the line, the desire to do things and be heard got lost in the currents of life

As someone struggling with mental health issues, I said I'd make this place my healing journey of sorts and maybe help someone along the way with my insights and I needed to remind myself my spark wasn't lost

So to the founders of TwoCents, thank you very much for helping me and countless others find our voices again.
