Money and (Un)happinness
Do you believe that money is the ultimate source of happiness? I know a lot of us, actually think that our problems would be gone, with the acquisition of wealth. This is why, we spend our lifetime in pursuit of it. Now I'm not about to tell you that money doesn't come with happiness. That would be a lie and a cheesy thing to say. Money does make you happy - after all, happiness is a feeling within a certain time frame. The issue rather is, does money bring total happiness? We often attribute problems in life to the absence of money. A lot of the times we think what makes us unhappy, dies with the presence of money. What then happens when that money is made, but the feeling of unhappiness still lingers? When we spend our lives in pursuit of money, neglecting our well-being in the process, we are headed for destruction. We occasionally need to take time and access - what might truly be the cause of our unhappiness? And what can we do within our power to feel better? Money can get you almost everything tangible, but is often powerless when it comes to the intangible and immaterial. Money may buy you affection, but cannot buy you love. It could get you a castle, but certainly cannot buy contentment. It can get you support, but not loyalty. It can get you security, but not peace. Now imagine a life without; love, contentment, loyalty or peace. I'm not going to be like the hypocrites, and deny the importance of money. Before you can authoritatively state that money isn't everything, you should have acquired it first. All that I'm trying to say is; there's so much more to life than the acquisition of wealth.
