Echoes of Silence
<p style="text-align: left;">Void of noise,</p><p>and every other factor.</p><p>An action that still speaks</p><p>without a medium.</p><p>Just waves of nothingness,</p><p>and the strange calm of serenity.</p><p>Silence wears many meanings —</p><p>isolation,</p><p>peace,</p><p>the drowning of emotions.</p><p>A creature such as myself longs for silence,</p><p>and when it arrives,</p><p>it opens the mind…</p><p>a place I often drown in.</p><p>Silence speaks.</p><p><br/></p><p>Among the constant hum of everyday life,</p><p>it waits —</p><p>longing to be heard,</p><p>begging for a moment</p><p>to express itself,</p><p>to do what it does best:</p><p>reveal the quiet echoes of uncertainty.</p><p>Thoughts of the future.</p><p>The past.</p><p>The present.</p><p>The entire timeline of your life —</p><p>how you expect it to unfold,</p><p>or how you never thought it would.</p><p>Silence most often finds us at night,</p><p><br/></p><p>when the world finally sleeps.</p><p>For some, it comes during work,</p><p>for others, while playing,</p><p>eating,</p><p>existing.</p><p><br/></p><p>But silence always lingers —</p><p>patient,</p><p>waiting for permission.</p><p>And when it’s given that chance,</p><p>the subconscious screams.</p><p>It pricks.</p><p>It floods the mind</p><p>with everything you’ve done</p><p>and everything that’s been done to you.</p><p>The regrets.</p><p>The grudges that never faded.</p><p>The moments you failed to forgive yourself for.</p><p>The memories —</p><p>both warm and cruel.</p><p><br/></p><p>We try to drown it out.</p><p>With music.</p><p>With books.</p><p>With games.</p><p>It works for a while.</p><p>But silence is inevitable.</p><p><br/></p><p>All we can do</p><p>is learn to guide it —</p><p>to channel it toward something gentler,</p><p>something that won’t break us.</p><p>It’s okay to drown in it sometimes.</p><p><br/></p><p>But when it becomes too frequent,</p><p>you begin to enjoy the thoughts it brings…</p><p>and slowly,</p><p>you start to lose yourself.</p><p>Yet maybe —</p><p>depending on the moment —</p><p>getting lost</p><p>is the only way to find yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe silence,</p><p>dark as it feels,</p><p>is the only way to survive</p><p>the noise,</p><p>the sorrow,</p><p>the quiet miseries of life.</p><p><br/></p><p>The End.</p><p>Credits:Confidential 🙂</p>
