Let me tell you about my first love or maybe just my first real crush. Either way, it felt huge at the time.

I was in primary school, primary 2 or primary 4. One of those classes. Yes, primary school! Who would’ve thought I was already caught up in all this? But there I was, crushing on a cute boy😄 Let’s call him Femi (just because…).

Femi was my classmate, and I can’t really explain why it had to be him. Could it have been his complexion, charm, or just primary school magic? I just liked him. I even got jealous when other girls were near him. Lol, so unnecessary.

Then came inter-house sports. I was in Yellow House, he was in Red. He was the king of Red House, and another girl (a very pretty girl) was the queen. Heartbreak.

In all of this, Femi never knew I was crushing on him ( yea, sad). Not a clue. I bet he did not even notice me (laughs in confusion). I can’t even remember if I told him later. Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. What I do know is he tried to reconnect years later (that kind of reconnect😉), but I was done. Over it.

Maybe he lost his "charm". Maybe I grew up. I saw him once after all those years, and everything I felt before was no more. Fizzled out. We tried talking, but I wasn’t interested anymore.

So, was it love? Maybe not. But back then, it felt like everything😊

<img src="/media/inline_insight_image/pexels-gustavo-fring-5621919.jpg" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;" alt="">

Buy me coffee… or a house. Either way, tips are always appreciated ☕🏡😂
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
