He cares

I've been so tired lately. Not just a little tired, but exhausted. Physically, mentally, emotionally ,it's been a struggle. It’s so funny because some people can’t relate to what I mean even if they say they can relate. Or they’ll just say, “You’ll be fine”. Of course, I know I’ll be fine. I just need to admit how I feel and be sincere with myself. I just want to talk, rant and let it all out, but at the same time, who cares?

While I was lost in the usual thoughts on my way back from church on Sunday, I got interrupted by a word from God. “I will never leave nor forsake you “. It was so loud, yet calm. I can’t explain, but for a moment, I felt like I was understood, seen and listened to even though I didn’t say anything. The peace I felt was so soothing and divine.

Have you ever been in a situation where you can’t explain how you feel or can’t even understand yourself? Do you sometimes feel like everything is falling apart? Do you get lost in thoughts and feel helpless? Or it feels like nobody gets you? It’s okay to feel these ways sometimes. It’s okay to feel sad and tired. You’re a human. In the midst of your feelings, uncertainties, anxieties and doubts, God is still with you. He’s always here every step of the way.

The truth of the matter is even if it seems as though no one cares, God does. He feels your feelings, knows your thoughts and understands you more than you do. God is always here. He’s your present help in times of needs. He has written your name on the palms of his hands. That’s how much he cares. He is closer to you than your skin and loves you just the way you are.

God loves you and cares for you and even if it seems you’re going through a lot, you’re not alone. He’s with you. So this is just a reminder of the fact that you’re not alone. He’s with you and He cares. Just remember that you can find rest in Him and with Him.
