<p>Ideas are not enough. One of the adverts I won't forget in a hurry is the Indomie advert with the song "Mama Do Good O-She Too Good Mama Wey Cook Food Hot..."</p>
<p>I think they did justice to that copy. From that advertisement, it is clear that Indomie had a plan. </p><p>Stories that touch are not a result of chaos—they are strategically planned. I am a firm believer in conducting audience research if your articles are to be successful. Don't hurry and produce something mediocre. Research is pivotal and will give you a competitive edge. In the course of research, do well to view the articles of other writers. I don't think Indomie cooked up that delicious copy without thorough research. Don't let pride blur your vision. There is so much to learn from your competitors. One of my academic publications that I am most proud of had over 90 corrections from the review committee. Then, I felt like I was going through a lot. Nobody wears raw gold as jewellery! </p><p>It has to pass through the furnace. Yes, I got burned, but I came out alright. I was initially overwhelmed, but I made the correction. A year later, my article was published!!!</p><p>This would be a great place to say Praise the Lord!</p>
<p>Excellence will cost you a bit, but it pays the most. You must be ready to give your work for review by others. For me, criticism is an avenue for growth. Notably, you must take action. This is why my opening statement was that ideas are not enough. If you want to get better at writing, you must write. It's not negotiable. When you get better, try not to relax so you won't lose relevance. In other words, beware of ease. Find professional materials and software to assist you with your craft. </p><p>For writers, Grammarly, Quilbot, Fraserburgh, and Rytr would be helpful. </p>
<p>Don't tell another person's story the same way. Avoid plagiarism by telling it your own way. </p>

If you like my insights, you can encourage me by sending a TIP. Thank you!
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
