I Wish I Had 20/20 Vision

‎Sometimes I catch myself wishing I had perfect vision. Just plain, natural 20/20. No glasses. No waking up and waiting for my eyes to adjust. Maybe it’s silly, but I think I’d smile more in the mornings if I could see the world clearly the moment I opened my eyes.

‎

‎I think about how beautiful it must be to wake up and actually "see" the world. The clock on the wall. The sunlight spilling through the window. My own face in the mirror, clear and sharp. I’ve never known that. For me, the world is always a little blurry at first, always needing a lens to feel real.

‎

‎And it’s not just the convenience, it’s the freedom. Never worrying about how the glasses look on me or running out the door without thinking twice. People take that for granted, and I get it. But when you’ve lived for a couple of years depending on a pair of lenses to make the world clear, the idea of just "seeing" feels like a luxury. Some days, I wonder what it would feel like to open my eyes and have everything already in focus. No adjustments, no searching, just clarity.

‎

‎

‎It’s a small thing, I know. But still sometimes, I just wish I had 20/20 vision. No fuss. No forgetting my glasses. No tearing up, no itching, just eyes that work the way they’re supposed to. Simple as that.
