There's a common phrase that suggests that if wishes were horses, beggars would ride on them. As factual as that is, I equally think that if wishes were horses, there'd be no horses. There's so much hate and love in the world right now. I somehow feel like more people are in a bad place.
Well, I could be wrong.
If these guys, whose hearts are drained of anything joyful, could wish, they may not necessarily want good things. They may want everyone to feel what they feel.
I think pain and grief make us find comfort in odd places.
In the absence of love, what naturally tickles feels like piercing with needles.
So yeah, if wishes were horses, there'd be no horses for the beggars to ride on. This could be because those who are wealthy may not want the beggars to change status!
In another vein, I think it's a blessing that we don't always get what we wish for. Imagine if you could have all you want. It could mean having everything everyone wants or currently has in their possession.
Similarly, if wishes were horses, we probably wouldn't have wishes.
Yes!
This is because some people would prefer that we all suffer or have no means of attaining our goal. If wishes were horses, we'd all probably be dead. For real, though, imagine that much power in the hands of humans, who I believe are largely crazy!
Someone would probably go THANOS and wipe us off the surface of the earth.
What's your take on this?
If wishes were horses, what do you think would happen?

If you like my insights, you can encourage me by sending a TIP. Thank you!
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
